COMMISSION PIECE SOLD!
After being contracted by Adam Watson of Darkslinger comics (http://www.darkslinger.com/) a new scratchboard piece was turned in for his new Van Heilsing story.
CROSSOVERS:
Who would have thought that small press publishers would even attempt to even think about doing a crossover?  Well we have and first story purposed for this will between Johnny Vega and Jonny Morbid of The NEOtrash comics universe.  Jason Pott writer and publisher of NEOtrash (http://www.neotrashcomix.com/) has written a unabashed story violence and mayhem as only Jason could unleash.  For mature audiences only.
But wait there is more to come.  The one and same, Adam Watson of Darkslinger has also tapped Johnny Vega with a crossover with his character Ghost Assassin.  But with story a origin has appeared with a shocking twist for the Vega Universe.

SHOWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS:
As the year of 2009 begins to wind down several shows were attended thus year and it looks like next year will be even more shows for Black Box Comix to attend.  First on the list will be in our backyard at the Stumptown comic Fest in April. This will be along with Adam Watson of Darkslinger, Jason Pott of NEOtrash Comics and Tony Morgan of Gunbaby Graphics.  There seems to be a pattern forming here.  I wonder what it could be.
After which there are several other venues that we are currently checking into such as the Olympia Comicbook Festival and our regular treks to Puyallup Washington.
Spokane Washington is still of a interest for us as to getting into that part of the state.
There have rumors of trekking into the state down under of California and attending the Alternative Press Expo and Wondercon both in San Franisco.  The San Diego Comicon will be our crowning acheviement.
There are other side projects in the works as previously mentioned.  Of Love & the Grotesque, Dreams of Elysium and the newest The Curse of the Sianach.  All these projects will be in the scratchboard format.  Should be a very productive year to be sure.
Also been working on the script for issue # 10 of Johnny Vega and a script for a Corvis Corrax One Shot.
Of course there are other titles that have me working hard on Issue 4 of JVMotF.  And completing the 12 page scratchboard project for the Pickle Phunk Funnies (at least that’s the way I think it’s spelled.  Apologies to Jason P.)

On top of that I think that things are going well as we head into the new year.

Oh yeah, just keep an eye on Corvis for today.  He’s a little jumpy.
And if you can’t find our books there but are wanting to pick them up you can check out Cosmic Monkey Comics , Floating World Comics, and Comic-Evolution.
